3D-QR (3d-qr.com) is a set of free QR code and barcode tools. You can make animated 3D QR codes and 3D-printable ones, ordinary QR codes for links, Wi‑Fi, contacts and messages, codes with your logo, and hundreds of codes or barcodes at once. You can also read a QR code from a picture and check whether its link looks like a scam before you open it.
Why this site exists
Making a QR code should take a minute. On many QR code sites it takes an account, an email address and sometimes a card number. Some add a watermark unless you pay. Others create “dynamic” codes that point at their own server, so when the free trial ends, every code you printed stops working.
3D-QR was built to do the plain thing well: type your link, style the code, download it, and keep it forever. The codes are static, which means your content is stored in the pattern itself. Nothing on this site sits between a scan and your link, so there is nothing that can be switched off later.
The animated 3D tool came from wanting QR codes that people actually notice. A small 3D scene stands up out of the code and folds back into it, so the same image works as an eye-catching post and as a code that scans.
Your data stays on your device
Every tool runs in your web browser using JavaScript. The links, Wi‑Fi passwords, contact details, logos and images you use are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. There is no sign-up, so we never ask for your name or email to use a tool. The privacy policy explains the details, including the few things that do involve another server, such as ads and brand logos.
What you can do here
- Make: the animated 3D QR code maker, the 3D-printable QR code generator, the classic QR code generator and the QR code with logo maker.
- Share: codes for Wi‑Fi, contact cards, WhatsApp, email, text messages and map locations.
- Work in bulk: the bulk QR code generator and the barcode generator.
- Check: the QR code scanner and the QR code safety checker.
The full list is on the all tools page, and the guides explain how QR codes work, how to print them so they scan, and how to spot a scam code.
How the site is paid for
The tools are free and stay free. The site is paid for by clearly labelled ads, which are kept apart from the tool controls and download buttons, and by optional tips through Ko-fi. Nothing is locked behind a payment.
Built with open-source software
3D-QR uses these open-source libraries: qr-code-styling (MIT) to draw QR codes, jsQR (Apache 2.0) to read them, JSZip (MIT) for ZIP downloads, gifenc (MIT) for GIFs, JsBarcode (MIT) for barcodes and three.js (MIT) for 3D. Brand logos come from Simple Icons. The 3D illusion follows the technique shown in the QR-Bloom project (MIT); the 3D models are our own.
