This policy explains what happens to your information when you use 3D-QR at https://3d-qr.com. If anything here is unclear, email hello@3d-qr.com.
The short version
- The tools run entirely in your browser. What you type, and the images and logos you choose, are not sent to us or stored by us.
- You don’t need an account, and you don’t need to give any personal information to use the tools.
- We don’t sell personal data.
- Ads on this site are served by Google, which uses cookies. You can turn off personalised ads (see “Your choices” below).
- We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies, to count visits and see which pages and tools are used. It never receives what you type into a tool.
The tools run on your device
Every tool on 3D-QR runs in your web browser using JavaScript. QR codes, barcodes, 3D models, GIFs and videos are created on your device. QR images you scan are decoded on your device. The safety checker analyses the link text on your device and never visits the link.
The content you enter (links, text, Wi‑Fi names and passwords, contact details, phone numbers, email addresses, CSV files, logos and photos) is not sent to, stored on or processed by any server of ours. When you close or reload the page, it is gone. There is no sign-up and no login, and no tool asks for your name or email address.
What other servers receive
Loading any web page involves some requests to servers. On 3D-QR these are:
- Our hosting provider, which delivers the pages and may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) for security and reliability. These logs do not contain anything you type into a tool.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net), a public content network. When you search for a brand logo in the animated 3D tool, the logo images are loaded from jsDelivr. Your browser makes normal requests for those image files, so jsDelivr receives your IP address, browser details and which logo files were requested. It does not receive your QR code content. The list of brands you search through is loaded from our own site. See jsDelivr’s privacy policy.
- Embeds. If you use Embed on your site in the animated 3D tool, the settings of your design (including the link in the code and any headline) become part of the embed’s web address. Each time that embed loads on a website, the address is requested from our hosting provider, so it can appear in their standard server logs. Nothing is sent when you only make and download designs.
- Google, when ads are shown (see “Advertising” below), and through Google Analytics (see “Analytics” below).
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies, including the DART cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Google and its partners may also use cookies and similar technologies to measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and detect fraud.
These cookies are set by Google and its partners, not by 3D-QR. We do not see or control the information they collect. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and how Google uses cookies in advertising.
Your choices
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. In the EU, www.youronlinechoices.eu offers the same choice.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tools keep working without cookies.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they won’t be based on your browsing.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided through Google’s consent management platform, before personalised ads are served or analytics cookies are set. You can choose whether your data is used for personalised advertising and analytics, and change that choice later from the privacy link in the message.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to understand how the site is used: how many people visit, which pages and tools they open, and where they came from. This helps us decide which tools to improve.
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to tell visits apart. It collects information such as the pages you view and for how long, the site that referred you, your browser, device type and screen size, your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address), and some interactions such as clicks on links to other sites, scrolling and file downloads. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. It does not receive what you type into a tool, the images you choose or the codes you make.
We don’t use Google Analytics to identify you, and we don’t combine it with other data about you. Google processes this data under Google’s privacy policy; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
To opt out, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block cookies in your browser, or use a content blocker. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Analytics cookies are only set if you agree to them in the consent message.
Links to other sites
3D-QR links to other websites, for example Ko-fi, and the codes you make may open other sites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
The optional “Buy me a coffee” button takes you to Ko-fi (ko-fi.com) to leave a tip. Any payment happens on Ko-fi. We never see or store your card or payment details. Ko-fi’s privacy policy applies there.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
